The Preparedness POA&M (plan of action & milestones) is a weekly column focusing on skills, self-sufficiency and taskers needed to shore up those areas that will allow us to be part of the solution. As hard times continue to unfold and resources become scarce, the prepared mind strives to take steps to mitigate those eventualities. In order to shepherd our cause, we must have a plan of action and continuously evaluate our progress via milestones as we consider the path onward.

Lee's POA&M:
Afternoon, TBR Readers,
We have returned to the "dog days of summer" mode here in our area of the O.N.T. Luckily, it's been 5-8 degree's cooler, on average, compared to the last "heat dome" event we had here. The entire Grey tribe is patiently waiting for the first signs of fall, we cannot wait!!
I had to make a few trips to Ft. Knox to complete some high-vis taskers on an ongoing project I have been working on. We are almost to the finish line. Currently, we are in a holding pattern pending some network related items that need to be completed in order to move forward. I fully understand the concept of "separation of duties" however, that can really bog down/slow the progress on any given item that needs signatures and or too many hands on deck.
The focus this week is on -> Educational Self-Sufficiency
My following comments are specifically directed to believers, however, I believe they apply to all parents.
Point blank...Yahweh calls every parent to NOT JUST provide for the education and training of your children, but to organize and facilitate that education/training yourself. Scripture simply doesn't provide for the option of outsourcing your children's education to a third party. That includes private Christian organizations.
There isn't anyone who is going to care for your children's needs the way you will...trust me, I am a product of the public school system and while I have been able to overcome the pitfalls of a public school education, many young men and women struggle to do so as they get into thier adult years and start having children of their own. When I compare my experience in the public school space to my wife (who was almost entirely homeschooled) there simply is no comparison.
One caveat...
If you are a single mother or father who doesn't, at present, have the ability to homeschool, then obviously, it would be advisable to search out the best private Christian school possible. However, that shouldn't mean that you don't strive to get to a position to educate your children yourself.
So, what about the public school option? Well, that is not an option at all. If you choose this path, the P.T.S.B (powers-that-shouldn't-be) will have 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, at least 9 months per year, for 13+ years to methodically deconstruct everything you believe in and what you desire for your children to learn.
In addition, achieving "educational self-sufficiency" means that when bad actors mean something for evil, like the fake (ov!d pl@ndemic, your smooth, resilient, home-based educational operations will not skip a beat!
When that sinister plot was carried out, the Grey tribe didn't have to figure out the dynamics of how this works now that all the kids were at home. Most importantly, our children were not subjected to the c!ot sh0t, have to "safe distance" themselves or study in plastic inflatable bubbles.
Taskers for the coming week...
(1) Complete my four-day-per-week workout sessions.
(2) Relocate junk pile to the landfill.
(3) Continue research and writing on my forthcoming novel, "A Mammoth Resistance."
(4) Purchase more straw for the stalls and duck/chicken runs.
(5) Read through/listen to Genesis Chapter 10.
THEY MEANT IT FOR EVIL but, YAHWEH, MEANT IT FOR GOOD!
Educate your babies, your most precious cargo, within the walls of a safe and God-honoring household.
Soli Deo Gloria!

Psalm 91 for all of us.
“Hear, my son, your father's instruction,
and forsake not your mother's teaching,
for they are a graceful garland for your head
and pendants for your neck.”
