Preparedness POA&M: Week Ending - 24AUG24 -> Survival Deluxe Dental Kit
The Preparedness POA&M (plan of action & milestones) is a weekly column focusing on skills, self-sufficiency and taskers needed to shore up those areas that will allow us to be part of the solution. As hard times continue to unfold and resources become scarce, the prepared mind strives to take steps to mitigate those eventualities. In order to shepherd our cause, we must have a plan of action and continuously evaluate our progress via milestones as we consider the path onward.

Lee's POA&M:
Good evening, TBR readers, the weather on Rose Ridge has been a little schizophrenic this week. The early part of the week we were in the 70's for highs and in the 50's for lows but the last few days have been in the 90's...I sure can't wait for fall!
I had to snake the plumbing that connects to our kitchen sink today, again. We have hard water and over the years it builds up this nasty white, chalky junk that clogs up the pipes. It is running smooth now but I think we will be looking into getting a water softening system. I'm not sure what all that entails but I'll jump on YouTube university sometime this week and get trained up!
Mamma Fitz and I also did a little landscaping around our raised beds. We purchased some solar powered garden lights in the city and bought a few shepherds hooks for them. In addition, we laid down about 10 bags of mulch in the raised bed garden area. It's not quite finished but it's close. Fitz also harvested some more slicers and Roma's from the beds. I also started purchasing the equipment I am going to need once my forthcoming podcast, The Path Onward, is ready to launch
This week's focus is on dental.
The photo attached for this week's POA&M depicts the Survival Deluxe Dental Kit from Dr. Bones and Nurse Amy (doomandbloom.net). Below the photo is a list of the contents of the kit. It's pretty robust and is currently on sale for $249 on the site. I don't think that price has fluctuated much over the last few years. I didn't want to compromise the integrity of the packaging so if you want/need a better lay out of the individual tools in the kit the site has some really good photo's.
As with the Stomp bag from a couple POA&M's ago, don't get caught up in the notion that you may not be a dentist so why purchase the kit? Hopefully, you know someone that lives relatively close by that in the event of TEOTWAWKI you could simply hand the kit over to them if you needed treatment. Rule of thumb -> Have access to the gear suite even if you don't know how to use it yet!
Taskers for the coming week...
(1) Complete my four-day-per-week workout sessions.
(2) Finish up goat stall two (I didn't get this done last week).
(3) Continue cutting, splitting and stacking this winters wood stores.
(4) Continue research and writing on my forthcoming novel, "A Mammoth Resistance."
(5) Read through the book of Romans.
Folks, with the insanity that was the recent Democratic National Convention, please stay current on your prepping and any training evolutions you may need to shake off any cobwebs. I believe evil has removed the mask and we should expect some interesting times moving forward as we close in on the 05NOV election and the end of the year.

Psalm 91
He who abides in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to Yahweh, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the destructive pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you will take refuge; His truth is a large shield and bulwark.
